Beam engine
Manufacturer probably Fa. Schöller & Co. Magdeburg
Year of manufacture around 1847

The design of this machine corresponds to the typical form of the low pressure steam engines which were manufactured until the 1960's. The arrangement of the cylinders and beam is similar to the atmospheric machines built by Thomas Newcomen in 1712.
The machine was probably used as an engine in a distillery.
